Jesse and Jane Phillips have owned NAPA Auto & Truck Parts of Athens since January, 1994. The store was founded 44 years ago as S&K Auto Parts by Wayne Shell and the late George Kelsey. Mr. Shell bought out Mr. Kelsey in 1972 and the store moved to N. White Street in 1981. The Phillips’ NAPA store is the last family owned auto parts store in McMinn County.
NAPA Auto & Truck Parts of Athens sells auto parts and accessories but specializes in Heavy Duty truck parts, hydraulics, and automotive paint. The Heavy Duty Truck department carries a large selection of NAPA-Haldex medium and heavy duty truck parts. The Kustom Kolor Center stocks Martin-Senour, DuPont, and House of Kolor automotive paints and body shop supplies. Their paint specialists use tools like a photo spectrometer to computer match paint for professionals or do-it-yourselfers.
NAPA Athens is a House of Kolor Premier Jobber. We are the only Premier Jobber in East Tennessee.
The Hydraulic Hose Center supports industrial and farm customers by making high pressure hoses up to 2 inches in diameter. They stock hydraulic fittings and adapters, including DIN metric and Japanese industrial. They custom make and repair metal lines and AC hoses. Specialized annual training in each department adds to NAPA Athens’ commitment to its customers.
